I think knowledge of what other organisations are doing is important, as this can be relayed to others as part of our work, thus spreading the message further. Hitting the right audience at the right time is key and given the variety of ways people interact with us, it means, that in order to make things count, we need to all be knowledgeable about and happy to promote all that's going on around the coast.
For instance collaborating on public engagement together with Pen Llyn A'r Sarnau SAC staff, the National Trust and Project seagrass at one point meant that we were able to relate information about the SAC project, plans and featured species and habitats, seagrass surveys and issues at Porth dinllaen, reasons for closure of the beach at Llanbedrog at one point, work of the Coastodians etc as part of our events message, work with volunteers and on our web platforms.
